The Problem with the WordPress Reader

As nice as it is to follow and find new blogs the reader in the WordPress app is terrible. Looking for posts about specific topics is not easy, there is no sort by date. Seems like a basic function to include but not available.

Well, that’s all. Just a quick rant.

Happy Sunday.

Lesson learned

Success is the result of learning from failure

So I have created dozens of websites, a quick look at my domain account shows I have at least 30 domains registered. My ideas have ranged from selling twitter followers (which actually made money) to blogging about the walking dead. At one point I had a website/forum for people to get help for different health-related things.

My ideas have ranged from selling twitter followers (which actually made money) to blogging about the walking dead. At one point I had a website/forum for people to get help for different health-related things.

The only thing that has always stayed the same is my WordPress business which I have enjoyed doing and have had dozens of awesome clients. Although it has changed domains about three times the current version at is probably the version I am happiest with.

It has already gotten some clients and I am very excited about the projects I have coming up this month.

What I learned by venturing out to different things is that although they may have failed I was able to perfect my WordPress biz.

Another birthday

Well here it is one year later celebrating another birthday something about 29 doesn’t seem as exciting as previous year. Just hanging out with some family and watching movies is good enough for me. Opted out of going out to eat or having a party. Can’t beat staying home and relaxing.

A Little About Me

I have noticed that no matter what I do, time is a hard thing to set aside for certain things. I have a very busy schedule and I have always tried to set some time aside to write at least once a day. It has yet to actually happen but that is a goal of mine.

As a single father of 3, that alone is a full-time job. Coming home from work asking how everyone’s day was and getting homework completed, baths and dinner it gets very hard. On top of that, I am a Marketing Manager during the day and have a couple clients I am working within the evenings. So trying to get everything done and handled before I can start writing gets challenging.

Nevertheless, I am determined to post to my blog. As this is a brand new domain getting people to follow will in itself be a challenge but that won’t hinder me from posting.

If you made it this far how about a thumbs up in the comments and dont forget to read my other posts.

Well Its Moving Day

Well, boxes packed, stuff moved into storage. Last few things this week to pack and take care of. It has been over a year since our last move and now here we are again. Moving. How much I hate this, although last year was the first move I have made in over 8 years, not bad. Now two moves in two years (2016 & 2017) with a third move next year (2018). I am hoping all goes according to plan and that is the final move. The next move is probably around April or May of next year. I am hoping the next six months are smooth.

Wish me luck. 🤘

When was your last move? Was it good or bad? Let me know in the comments below.

Blog Post Schedule

Just thought I would do a quick post to lay out what my intended plan is for content on this site. With three kids and a full-time job (kids on their own is a full-time job), I am planning on posting new guides M-F and posting personal blogs on the weekends.

The guides during the week will be about WordPress, Hosting, Social Media, etc. This will be a good way to share my experiences that I have with WordPress and how I was able to solve any problem that I had.

Lastly the personal blog, well that’s an obvious one. It will be about the kids and me. For those interested, those will be located here. 😊

My very first website

If not for photoshop I would not have created my first website. All thanks to a great graphics teacher who taught a great class during my Junior year of high school. I am going to paraphrase but I’ve always remembered him saying that no matter what you have learned here (high school), Photoshop will be something that you will always use.

To this day it is something that I have never stopped using, I created my first site because of a photo I created (still have it somewhere) of Nixon giving the peace sign as he boards his plane. What did I photoshop? Everyone’s faces in the photo with Simpsons characters.

So I created this amazing photo and wanted a way to share it. Myspace was on the way out and Facebook was still building up momentum but not used much. So I created BrainFreeze101, I couldn’t remember if it was .com or .net.

I remember the struggles of creating that site 😥 so painful. In the end, it really was something that was a stepping stone to what I enjoy doing now. 😎
